GOP leaders told Bush that his hardcore push to renew the more onerous provisions of the Patriot Act could further alienate conservatives still mad at the President from his botched attempt to nominate White House Counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.

Because I love this country so much and because my family helped found it, I wrote this paper last Forth of July (2006). I spent a four day weekend inside my house writing, writing, and writing. This is what came out.
George Walker Bush is a Scum Bag. He has torn our Constitution and Declaration of Independence to shreds. He thinks the documents are a joke and has done countless acts to render them invalid.
It shows how "Dubya" is the exact opposite of what America stands for. I go through the Declaration of Independence line by line and show how George Bush is tearing it apart. While everyone else in the country was enjoying their freedoms; barbequing, boating, and Jet-skiing, I was inside writing about how our president is tearing the country apart. America, please this is so important for our country's future. Please sit down, relax for once. Take 5 minutes to read the Declaration of Independence. We all take for granted why this country is so strong. Every citizen should know what this document says. Every citizen will be outraged when they realize how George Bush has ripped it apart.
What I have done is put the declaration in
BLACK.
Then I give several examples of how "W" is doing exactly what King George did in 1770s. The founders of our country knew it was wrong then and it is wrong now. We must not become a nation of complacency. We can not automatically assume that our leaders are doing what is best for us.
They are hoping that we are all exhausted and don't pay attention. Overworked, underpaid, sensory overload with TV, movies, I-pods, computers. Blaming each other for our own ills. They have us exactly where they want us. We are better than that. Don't fall for the biggest scam in ages. There is still time to stop the damage. Please think it through.

We can send the message that enough is enough...The clean up has got to begin.

Of all the legislation being passed, how much of it is for the public good? How much of it is for huge corporations? Making it illegal for the drug companies to compete for Medicare's business? A basic law of economics is competition. The Bush administration passed a law stating that the drug companies will get the prices that they ask period. No competing necessary. That is why you are paying $75 for Albuteral inhaler. That is why co-pays have quadrupled. Wonder how much "kickback" each lawmaker received "under the table" from the Pharmas?
W's laws are not for the public good. They are for Pfizer, Merck, GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi-Aventis, Novartis, Johnson & Johnson, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Wyeth.

"In my more than three decades in government, I have never seen anything approaching the degree to which information flow from scientists to the public has been screened and controlled as it is now," James Hansen told a University of Iowa audience. Hansen is director of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York and has twice briefed a task force headed by Vice President Dick Cheney on global warming. He was also one of the first government scientists tasked with briefing congressional committees on the dangers of global warming, testifying as far back as the 1980s.
'Recipe ... for disaster'
Hansen said," the administration wants to hear only scientific results that "fit predetermined, inflexible positions." Evidence that would raise concerns about the dangers of climate change is often dismissed as not being of sufficient interest to the public."
"This, I believe, is a recipe for environmental disaster."
Hansen said the scientific community generally agrees that temperatures on Earth are rising because of the greenhouse effect ? increased emissions of carbon dioxide and other materials into the atmosphere that trap heat. Most of that increase comes from burning fossil fuels. These rising temperatures, scientists believe, could cause sea levels to rise and trigger severe environmental consequences, he said.
Hansen said such warnings are consistently suppressed, while studies that cast doubt on such interpretations receive favorable treatment from the administration. He also said reports that outline potential dangers of global warming are edited to make the problem appear less serious. "This process is in direct opposition to the most fundamental precepts of science," he said.
He described himself as moderately conservative, but said he will vote for John Kerry in the presidential election.
"He certainly is not in denial of the existence of climate change problems," Hansen said.

How Scary is that? It was as if the founding fathers were writing to declare their independence from George
"W" Bush. If reading the Declaration of Independence does not get you mad at "W" than nothing will. That is one of our most sacred documents. Another is the Constitution. George Bush is guilty of much more than the original "King George" was in 1776. He is a danger to this country. He is not mentally stable. He has no concept of reality. He is a threat to democracy everywhere. He will go down in history as the "W"orst president that this country has ever seen.
